Neuromonitoring during thyroid surgery

It is most frequently used during complete thyroid resection due to cancer of the organ and significantly reduces the risk of serious complications arising as a result of this surgery. Thanks to neuromonitoring, doctors can monitor the important nerve responsible for speech. The Department of Gastroenterological Surgery and Transplantation is the second centre in Warsaw and the Masovian region, after the Oncology Institute, to use neuromonitoring during thyroid surgery.
